Frequently Asked Questions

Which meeting software does Interprelay support?

Interprelay works at the system audio level, naturally compatible with Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack Huddle, and other major meeting software. The current V1 version only fully tests and commits to Google Meet.

What system version is required?

Interprelay requires macOS 14.4 or later. This is because we need to use Core Audio Process Tap to capture meeting audio.

How to install the virtual audio driver?

Interprelay needs a virtual audio driver to inject translated English into meeting software. You can use BlackHole (install via Homebrew: brew install blackhole-2ch) or wait for our official Interprelay Audio driver.

Why is microphone permission needed?

Microphone permission is used to capture your voice for real-time translation. We only capture audio when you click "Start Speaking"; meetings start with capture paused by default.

What is the translation accuracy?

Based on real Google Meet verification, our translation accuracy (intent accuracy) reaches over 95%. We also support custom terminology injection to further improve translation accuracy in specific domains.

Will meeting content be saved?

By default, we don't save any meeting content. Meeting audio is processed locally in real-time and not uploaded to servers. If you choose to save meeting records, text will be encrypted and stored on your local device.

How to uninstall Interprelay?

Simply drag Interprelay from the Applications folder to the Trash. The virtual audio driver needs to be uninstalled separately (BlackHole can be removed via its official uninstall script).
